1. How did you get your name? My name is from the Bible. It is a mixture of "Lazarus" and "Ezra". The "s" is pronounced with a "z" sound.
	2. Are you still in contact with your family? If so, where are they now? Yes, I am still in touch with my family. I have three sisters and three brothers, all of whom still reside in New York.
	3. Are you still practising law? Since the release of the movie, I have received many requests to share my story with a wide range of groups - schools/universities, community organizations, and corporations. As a result, I have taken a leave from practising law. I'll always be a lawyer, but right now I am thrilled to share my story and message to speak about the power in each of us to achieve the seemingly impossible.
	4. After Rubin "Hurricane" Carter's experience with the District Attorney's office, why were you a Crown Prosecutor (District Attorney)? Why not? When you think about it, the various district attorneys in Rubin's case failed to fulfill their responsibilities. Each of them had the power to stop the proceedings against Rubin at any given time and yet, none of them did. I take rights and liberties very seriously. As a prosecutor, I was part of a team, situated right at the "opening gates", to help ensure that no one was wrongly prosecuted. I hope that my experience with Rubin's case made me more sensitive, compassionate and alert to some of the shortfalls in the criminal justice system.
	5. What is your favorite book now? Every book I read! I have often wondered if I had an all time favorite. I am certain that there have been a few books which have impacted my life. I am attracted to books that are motivating, inspiring, and written from the heart. I am currently writing my own book and I hope it to be just that.
